Karen Minster lives and works in New York City where she graduated with her BFA in graphic design from The School of Visual Arts. She began her career designing annual reports and moved on to find wonderful opportunities working as an in-house freelance designer for a diverse range of design studios and firms in NYC, including the prestigious M&Co and Vignelli Associates, while designing for her own clients as BusterGraphics. Her passion for typography and book publishing led her to full-time art director positions with The Crown Publishing Group at Random House and Disney’s Hyperion Books. Venturing out on her own, as Karen Minster Book Design, she has found designing and guiding self-publishing authors a most gratifying and successful endeavor.
